A “Positive Impact City”

Nature trails, footpaths, and green areas

City with a Positive Impact is a “container” of projects dedicated to the dissemination and affirmation of a Culture with a Positive Impact that focuses on the common good, the care and inclusiveness of the most vulnerable people, and the education and awareness of the younger generations on the most pressing social, cultural, and environmental issues.

The central action of the municipality's environmental strategy concerns the new Green Area of Cellini Park, where the recent planting of 20 new poplar trees, as part of the “Positive Impact City” project, marks a concrete step towards urban regeneration. These trees, chosen for their adaptability, are not only decorative elements but also fundamental natural infrastructures that improve air quality, contribute to the mitigation of heat waves by reducing the ‘heat island’ effect typical of urbanized areas, and transform the park into a more welcoming place, promoting socialization and contact with nature.

Cellini Park is just one of the many parks and trails in the town of San Mauro Pascoli. The recent redevelopment of Via Rio Salto I° means that, via the new cycle and pedestrian path, it will be possible to reach the cycle path in Via Myricae and the Rio Salto nature trail.

In the Nature section, you will find descriptions of the many parks and trails where you can enjoy a pleasant, relaxing break.
