Description

The third event in the “Digitali Purpurei - Gli Youtuber vanno in scena” series will feature “L'ULISSE DI JOYCE, ovvero scompisciarsi a Dublino in compagnia di Mr. Bloom” (Joyce's Ulysses, or having a blast in Dublin with Mr. Bloom).

A comedy show by and starring Alessandro Ciacci and Giuseppe Armillotta, with live musical interludes by Alessio Zanovello // A “damned novel,” brilliant, misunderstood, and...comical! On February 2, 1922, James Joyce published Ulysses, the book that would revolutionize 20th-century literature. Too often read (and feared) as a difficult and academic work, Ulysses is actually a text overflowing with irony, comedy, and linguistic inventions that its author himself wrote while laughing out loud. With Alessandro Ciacci, actor, comedian, and Joyce addict, Joyce's masterpiece returns to its original nature: a human and irresistibly comical adventure that speaks to everyone and about everyone, regardless of class, age, or culture.

A show to be experienced as Joyce wanted his novel to be read: with people, for people, and above all... laughing!
