THE USO CYCLE PATH BY BIKE
THE USO CYCLE PATH BY BIKE
Description
The Sentieri per l'Uso trail covers the Uso river area in the municipalities of Bellaria Igea Marina and San Mauro Pascoli. The riverbank has been redeveloped with a cycle and footpath and the creation of rest areas. The route winds for about 6 kilometers, running alongside the Uso River, partly on the right bank and then on the left, on dirt roads and marked trails. The cycle and pedestrian path begins in Bellaria on Via Ravenna at the intersection of the Uso River on the right bank and continues for the first 1500 meters to a footbridge (Castrum Lusi) that allows you to cross the river and move to the left bank. It then continues for about 2.5 kilometers until it joins the Rio Salto, celebrated in the famous Cavallina Storna by the poet Giovanni Pascoli. From this point onwards, the trail continues along the old abandoned embankment of the Uso and the Rio Salto for another 700 meters until it reaches the Podere Isola bridge. The last stretch of the trail, just over a kilometer long, ends at Podere Buda and Villa Torlonia. Those who wish to can continue for another 2 km to the junction with San Mauro Pascoli and return from Villa Torlonia via a wooden walkway (Ca' Uso) that leads directly to Igea Marina, leaving the cycle/pedestrian path and taking dirt and paved roads that lead to Donegallia, Castello Benelli, and the Church of Bordonchio. Along the entire Uso cycle and pedestrian path, there are nine rest areas equipped with benches, picnic tables, games, and information panels.Sentieri-per-lUso.pdf
